With the Bob Cassette, we want to introduce a system for dishwashers that is not only particularly convenient to use, but also avoids the use of disposable plastic. All Bob Cassette can be reused, i.e. as soon as Bob has used the detergent in perfect portions for 30 rinses per cassette, Bob’s owner sends the cassette back to the Daan Factory and we refill it with detergent there. It is then returned to the market and can be used again by Bob the mini dishwashers.

This process can be repeated hundreds of times without us having to process new plastic. Conventional dishwashing detergent from the supermarket is usually sold in disposable plastic bottles and therefore has a negative impact on the environment. We from Daan Tech have made a conscious decision to take the more costly route, but one that is better for our planet.

50% recycled plastic

Electrical appliances will be electrical appliances – and it is very difficult and costly to make them from recycled materials. Nevertheless, as many parts of Bob as possible are made from recycled material. We have managed to make Bob out of about 50% recycled material and will strive to even increase this in the future.

We think it’s important to use as much recycled and recyclable plastic as possible, so that we can minimize the negative impact on the environment even in the context of industrial production. In addition, we have strived to make Bob the mini dishwasher particularly durable, consciously opposing artificially shortened product life cycles.

Bob’s spare parts are available for at least 10 years after purchase and due to its high material quality and the possibility for continuous software updates, Bob is a faithful companion for many years.

The last production site of dishwashers in France ceased its activity in 2016. Daan Tech decided to develop and manufacture Bob in France in order to revitalize this sector in a sustainable way and is today the only manufacturer of dishwashers in France. Within the last 12 months, Daan Tech has managed to create 40 new jobs internally while providing its employees with security and stability at a time of uncertainty and upheaval. Through its collaboration with over 15 European suppliers, many indirect jobs have also been preserved.

Thus, Daan Tech contributes to economic development not only internally in France, but throughout Europe. Our mission is also supported by more and more people, thus enabling steady growth and creation of more jobs. Our Daan Tech values within the Daan Positive Cycle are also reflected in our choice of packaging.

Thus, as with the production of Bob and the Bob Cassette, we use recycled and recyclable packaging for our products. Bob and all the options you can order on the Daan Tech website are packaged in recycled cardboard. This is also labeled with natural ink. We try to eliminate unnecessary plastic in all of our packaging solutions. Again, we promise to constantly improve and ensure the most sustainable, but also most stable transport solution for our ever beloved mini dishwasher.
